To mark Transgender Day of Visibility, the LGBTQ+ Housing Research and Practice Network of the Housing Studies Association is hosting a short online lunch and learn exploring trans experiences of housing in the UK.

In this session, we will be joined by Debbie Cannon from Trans Without Abuse, who will share insights from practice and lived experience of supporting trans people navigating housing systems.

Together we will:

• explore some of the challenges trans people face in accessing and sustaining safe housing.
• consider the current policy and regulatory context, including discussions around inclusive services.
• reflect on what this means for housing practitioners.
• identify key gaps where further housing research is needed.

The session will provide space for participants to ask questions and discuss the topic in a respectful and supportive environment.

This informal 45-minute session is aimed at housing practitioners, researchers, and anyone interested in improving understanding of trans experiences within housing systems.
