Rachel Creaney is a PhD student in Geography and Sustainable Development at the University of St Andrews and James Hutton Institute. Her PhD looks at ‘health smart homes’ by exploring the experiences of older people living with technology enabled care at home in rural Scotland.

Rachel has a background in Anthropology and Sustainable Rural Development and prior to commencing her PhD she worked for several years as a Social Science Research Assistant on projects related to rural land management and community development. Rachel became the HSA Communications Assistant in April 2019.
